At KRLC Church, we believe that the love of Christ is the foundation of our community. We strive to embody that love in all that we do, whether it is through our worship services, our outreach programs, or our interactions with one another. We welcome everyone, regardless of background or beliefs, and invite you to experience the transformative power of Christ's love at KRLC Church.
At KRLC we believe that all persons should be welcome to participate in worship. The church facilities help make this possible for those with limited mobility.
Handicapped parking is available immediately adjacent to the entrance walkway. The church is wheelchair accessible.
LULA, our church elevator is located inside the front door and allows persons to go between the upper & lower levels without using the stairs.
There is a unisex handicapped accessible bathroom on both the upper and lower levels of the church.
The sanctuary features a Kawai baby grand piano donated by Norton and Marge Johnson in 2002. In addition, for outside performances, the church also owns a Yamaha CP300 Stage Piano (not shown). It features an 88-key, Graded Hammer keyboard, AWM tone generation system (max polyphony of 128 notes). It also has 50 original voices, plus 480 XG voices and 12 drum kits. It also has its own built-in stereo system, a 16-track sequencer and balanced XLR outputs. It was used as a stage piano for students practicing in the Weber Music Hall at UMD and KRLC purchased it from the UMD Music department in 2021.
The Jaeckal pipe organ was dedicated in November 1995. It has 57 keys and 25 pedals, all connected by an 8' Rohrflute, 4' Rohrflute, 4' Principal, and 2' Flute. The keyboard is divided between Middle C and C #, left and right. The pedals are always included in the stop selection. As Dan Jaeckel has often explained, more than 50% of the pipe organs in the world are similar to this. Minimal, fitting the space, modest, but very articulate and pleasing to hear.
There is ample space for conversation in and around the sanctuary.
Small meetings can be held in the narthex, immediately outside of the sanctuary.
The church library contains many books and other resources to enhance your spiritual reading list.
