Offering envelopes are available for all church members. You can place them in the offering plates on Sunday or mail them to the church.
Are you aware that you can set up automatic giving to KRLC through your checking account with online banking? Around 95% of all banks and credit unions offer online checking where you issue the checks from your bank's web page. You can list Knife River Lutheran Church as a recurring check recipient and you choose the frequency; every week, every two week, every month or every quarter and the amount of the donation. It will continue until you stop it or you can put in an end date. You only need the mailing address of the church and that is PO Box 218 Knife River 55609-0218. Every bank differs slightly on how it's done and they will help you if you have any problems.
Some banks only offer Electronic Funds Transfer. You will need the routing numbers for Park Bank #0919001219 and the church account to set this up. We do not publish that number but you can get it directly from Ed Lee. If you have any questions you can also ask Ed at his church email: edlee4KRLC@gmail.com.
Both of these options should be free and would not have any service charge.
Online giving through Subsplash will allow you to set up a single payment or weekly giving through your credit card or bank account. A service fee applies.
The money you donate to Knife River Lutheran Church supports its ministries, operations and staffing. In addition, special emphasis is placed on helping others in need through Outreach giving (below is list of ministries you can designate to support).
KRLC is proud to have received the "Holy Cow" award on numerous occasions from the NE Synod of the ELCA. This award is given on an annual basis to the congregation that has the highest per capita giving to World Hunger.
A large part of our world hunger giving comes from the Children's Church offerings to God's Global Barnyard, a world hunger outreach of the ELCA. Children collect donations and then decide how they will be spent, by funding the purchase of animals to benefit those in need in other countries. We also have a special drive during Advent where you can specify your gift.
The NE Minnesota Synod of the ELCA has also recognized KRLC as a significant contributor to broader, regional ministries by awarding our church the Servant of Christ Award. Foremost of the supported ministries is the Center for Changing Lives helping homeless young people. KRLC supports many local ministries thanks to the generosity of its members.
People of faith working together to provide basic necessities, foster stable lives, and organize for a just and compassionate community. Chum is a 501(c)(3) organization whose programs serve more than 8,000 low-income, homeless, hungry, isolated, or otherwise marginalized community members in Duluth, MN each year.
VLM offers traditional summer camp experiences, programmed day or weekend events, and comfortable spaces for your next retreat or family/friend gathering. We provide the ideal combination of place and program for Christian community and personal renewal in God’s great northwoods!
